Candidate for the Nominating Committee: Joyce Login

Dr. Login received a BS degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts in 1984, and then attended The Ohio State University where she was awarded her DVM degree in 1988.

Upon graduation, she returned to her roots and practiced veterinary medicine at a small animal practice in New Jersey. In 1992 she left private practice to embark on a career in animal health nutrition and pharmaceuticals. Over the last 25 years, Dr. Login has had the opportunity to work for many different outstanding companies, gaining valuable knowledge from each experience. She has worked as a professional services veterinarian at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Mallinckrodt Veterinary, Novartis Animal Health and then Bayer Animal Health before joining Pfizer Animal Health, now Zoetis, in 2010. Her first position at Zoetis was as a Regional Strategic Veterinarian, where she consulted with specialists at private referral hospitals and Colleges of Veterinary Medicine. Currently Dr. Login is the Senior Manager in Veterinary Specialty Operations, supporting the parasiticide line of products.

Over the course of her career, she has participated in many organizations with memberships in AVMA, AAHA, NJVMA, AAVP, AAIV (Association of Industrial Veterinarians), IVAPM (International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, AAFP (Assoc. of Feline Practitioners) and AHS. She was the Secretary of the AAIV and held board positions with CAPC, NCVP and CATalyst Council and is currently on the AAVP Education Committee.

She has a deep interest in the areas of infectious diseases, and in particular vector-borne diseases. In addition, she also has a passion for communication and leadership training. Joyce has been certified in the FRANK Communication program and DiSC, as well as the Bayer Communication Project, and has conducted many training workshops over years. In addition, she has obtained a Meyers Briggs certification.
