Annual Conference Update

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all continue to adapt and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective April 20, 2020, the AAVP Executive Board has taken the decision in conjunction and with support of the Snowbird Resort to officially cancel the on-site AAVP 65th Annual Meeting at Snowbird, Utah.

Instead of the traditional on-site meeting, we have initiated contingency plans to hold a virtual meeting June 20-23, 2020 (same dates as the original meeting). We plan to have both live streams and prerecorded presentations. As AAVP has done historically, we will compile a comprehensive proceedings book complete with abstracts from all scientific sessions, recognition of award winners, and acknowledgment of AAVP sponsors.

Without an active and engaged membership and the generous support of our corporate sponsors, AAVP simply does not exist. Your participation and support are absolutely critical for the future of AAVP and we encourage all AAVP members and students to support this year's virtual meeting by submitting an abstract for an oral presentation or poster. The deadline for submission of abstracts will be May 1, 2020 as amended on the April 3rd meeting update. In addition to your abstract once it has been accepted, you will asked to submit an MP4 video of your oral presentation or poster. The video will be uploaded on the CATALYST system as your abstract and will be due June 3, 2020. Instructions will be provide on https://catalyst.omnipress.com/aavp2020.

Additional changes to the virtual meeting include a reduced registration fee: Members $165, Students $65, Non-Members $250 and Non-Member Students $100 on May 1, 2020. If you've already registered for the on-site meeting at the normal rate, you will receive a refund of your original payment. You will need to re-register for the virtual conference.

Registration is required to submit a presentation and to view the virtual meeting. So even if you are not presenting, you can attend the meeting on-line for a low registration fee. Refunds will be provided to those that have already registered.
