AAVP Annual Awards

  • AAVP-Boehringer Ingelheim Distinguished Veterinary Parasitologist Award Criteria for Nomination: This is an award that honors contributions to veterinary parasitology that are widely recognized internationally as significant and important to the understanding and control of parasitic diseases of animals.
  • AAVP Distinguished Service Award Criteria for Nomination: The nominee shall be a member in good standing of the AAVP. Nomination of candidates for whom service to the AAVP is conducted normally or routinely, such as those involved in holding an office in the Association, will not be accepted.
  • AAVP-William C. Campbell One-Health Award Criteria for Nomination: The nominee shall be a member in good standing of the AAVP. This is an award that is meant to recognize and celebrate remarkable veterinary parasitologists who have made extraordinary contributions to One Health, which is defined as the collaborative effort of multiple disciplines—working locally, nationally, and globally—to attain optimal health for people, animals, AND our environment.
  • AAVP-Merck Outstanding Graduate Student Award Criteria for Nomination: Nominations are limited to graduate students enrolled in, or those who have completed their MS or PhD degree within the previous 12 months. The award is made based only on research carried out during a student’s graduate (MS or PhD) program.
  • AAVP-CAPC Graduate Student Award in Zoonotic Disease Criteria for Nomination: Nominations are limited to graduate students enrolled in, or those who have completed their MS or PhD degree within the previous 12 months. The award is made based only on research carried out during a student’s graduate (MS or PhD) program.
