Metorchis orientalis Tanabe, 1919
Metorchis orientalis (Metorchisalbidus Hsü, 1934 is considered here to be a synonym) is probably the equivalent of Metorchis albidus and Metorchis conjunctus in Asia. It was originally described from a dog and cat in Japan and has since been described from Manchuria, China, and Formosa. The snail Bulimus stiatulus serves as the first-intermediate host and fresh-water cyprinoid fishes serve as the second-intermediate hosts.
