<p align="CENTER"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: large;"><i><b>Plagiorchis massino</b></i></span></span><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b> Petrov and Tikhonov, 1927</b></span></span></p> <p align="JUSTIFY"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: small;"> This fluke was originally described from dogs and cats in Armenia and Kazakistan. It has also been reported from a single cat found infected in Newfoundland, Canada (Smith FR, Threllfall W. 1973. Helminths of some mammals from Newfoundland. Am Midl Nat 90:215-218.). The life cycle probably involves a snail as the first intermediate host and an insect or a snail as the second intermediate host. The cats would have become infected by ingesting the second intermediate host.</span></span></p>
